Seeing first hand the amount of clients wanting/needing an alternative to eyelash extensions, I decided to become a Certified Trainer/Stylist for Sugarlash Pro Curl Perfect & Elleebana Lash Lift & Belmacil Tint.
Here are a few reasons why:
1) Not everyone wants or needs extensions.
The lash lift reveals the thickest part of the lashes at the base and accentuates their length. Some lashes look like extensions after a lash lift, it’s so dramatic. It’s great to wake up and not need to apply mascara before running out the door or have to pamper lash extensions.
2) Allergy to the adhesive used to attach extensions.
So many women are or become allergic to the universal ingredient used in the extension adhesive and once they develop an allergy, they are no longer candidates for extensions. Fortunately, the adhesive used during the lash lift process is water soluble and doesn’t contain the same ingredient needed for extensions.
3) Extensions can cause lash damage or loss if not applied properly.
Damaged and loss of eyelashes happens too frequently because unfortunately, not all lash technicians are certified/trained/experienced in the application of extensions, and to make matters worse, many don’t use quality products. Quality eyelash extension products aren’t cheap. Once a client experiences extreme damage or loss, she never trusts having extensions again. The great news is that a lash lift offers a great alternative without the fear of jeopardizing lash health.
4) Extensions can be more expensive and require more of a time commitment.
A Lash Lift & Tint takes 60 minutes, lasts 6-8 weeks, and requires zero maintenance. Lash extensions, on the other hand, generally start around $150+ for a full set. A full set takes 1.5 - 2 hours to apply and extensions require a fill every 2-3 weeks, which takes about 1 -1.5 hours starting at $75. Big difference.
